Aviom's Pro16® and Pro64® Series offer a modular approach to building digital snakes for live events and installations—even those requiring frequent changes in I/O locations. The ease with which Aviom systems can be reconfigured makes them both more flexible and more cost-effective than products with fixed size and limited expandability. An Aviom digital snake gives you consistent excellent sound quality—plus the freedom to design and redesign to meet your changing needs.
Unlike many digital systems with fixed configurations, Aviom digital snakes are fully modular. To build an Aviom digital snake, simply select the input and output modules based on the types of signals you need to hook up, connect with Cat-5e, and you're up and running. Regardless of the specific requirements for your Aviom digital snake, all systems are comprised of the same types of basic components.
Getting Audio In: Mic Inputs on Stage or Set
The mic input module or card includes a high fidelity mic preamp for each input channel and converts the incoming signals to digital. The resulting signal is output on a Cat-5e cable or fiber optics (depending on the specific products selected).
Getting Audio In: Inputs at FOH/Mix Position
Use input modules or console cards to take return signals (for main speakers and monitors) from the console. As on stage, these signals are converted to digital (if not already digital) and output over Cat-5e or fiber.
Getting Audio Out: Outputs to Consoles, Amps & Speakers
Use output modules or console cards to get audio out of the snake—on stage, at front of house, in lobbies, at split locations, etc.
