Theater Program Quality Improves With Addition of Pro16 Monitoring

The following comments are excerpts from an interview with Ed Allen, the director of the Cardinal O'Hara High School Theater Program, located in Springfield, PA.

The addition of the Aviom Personal Monitoring system has had a tremendous impact on the the school's theater program. "The true talent of our kids comes across in a very clear manner. Our musicians can hear themselves perfectly, the house mix brings it all together in a perfect blend that permits the audience to hear the show the way it was intended without being too loud," comments Ed Allen, Director of the Cardinal O'Hara High School Theater Program.

“The audience loved the show, and many thought that we had installed an entirely new sound system. The only addition was Aviom!”

"We added the system for our production of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida. We used electronic drums, guitar and bass pods, and all five keyboards went directly into the monitor system. No amps! This permitted our acoustic instrumentalists to be able to play in a quieter environment, bringing out their best performance. The electronic musicians could play as loud as they wanted in their headsets, allowing them to get the tone and feel they desired without affecting the other musicians and the house mix. The actors did not have to push as hard when singing."

"The audience loved the show, and many thought that we had installed an entirely new sound system. The only addition was Aviom! We are now an Aviom theater. We will use it at every show. It gives me great confidence as director to know that we have the system on which to rely. We have also used the system at other school functions."
