About Aviom RSS Feeds

RSS (which stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, depending on who you ask) provides a way for you to have Aviom News and Press Releases delivered right to your computer.

You can use an RSS reader (or news aggregator) to collect and monitor your favorite news in one centralized program or location. Content viewed in the RSS reader is known as an RSS feed.

RSS Readers

There are a number of excellent free applications and online services you can use to keep track of all your RSS feeds. If you install one of these programs and configure it as your default News Reader, you can simply click on an RSS link like the ones above, and it will launch the program and subscribe you to the news feed.

Mac OS X

  • NetNewsWire is an easy-to-use RSS and Atom reader for your Mac. NetNewsWire has a familiar three-paned interface and can fetch and display news from thousands of different websites and weblogs.

Windows

  • FeedDemon, the popular Windows RSS reader, lets you view and manage your RSS feeds from your desktop. It allows you to customize the way feeds are organized and displayed.
  • RSS Popper: RSS Popper is a news aggregator add-in for Outlook & Outlook Express. News items are delivered directly to Outlook as e-mails. All RSS/RDF/Atom formats are supported.

Cross-Platform

  • RSSOwl is a platform-independent news reader that lets you gather, organize, update, and store information from any compliant source in a convenient, easy to use interface. Available for Windows, Linux, Linux 64Bit, and Mac OS X.

Online News Readers

  • Google Reader is an online news aggregator that integrates with your Google account to let you follow all your RSS feeds in one place.
  • Bloglines is a free service that lets you keep up with your favorite blogs and news feeds. With Bloglines, you subscribe to RSS feeds and Bloglines will monitor updates to those sites. You can read the latest entries within Bloglines
  • NewsGator Online free, web-based RSS reader that you can use from any computer to keep up with follow all your RSS feeds.
